Emma's 4th

We were so lucky to once again have Oma and Opa here visiting us over Emma's birthday. (They were also here to help us put the final touches on our new place-thank you, thank you, thank you!!!) And we made sure that Emma had a fun day. We started off by going to the Splash Pad. A fun, and free place here in Bloomington that shoots off a lot of water with a fun park right next to it. We had nice weather and it wasn't too crowded. Everyone seemed to have a really great time.

Being silly

Isaac had more fun playing in this random mud puddle then in the water itself.

The really fun park next door

After the Splash Pad we took Emma to McDonald's for nothing better than chicken mcnuggets and french fries. We then all took a well needed naps before we headed out for dinner. Then, the library this summer had a summer reading program that Emma participated in, one of the prizes was a gift certificate to Mama Bear's Pizza, a really yummy pizza place in town that is suppose to be the 4th best pizza in the nation. So we decided that her bday was a perfect time to use her coupon and indulge in some pizza ourselves (thanks again Oma and Opa for paying for dinner, it really was yum-o!) Of course we then headed home for the much anticipated cake and presents.

This year, which has become the tradition, Emma asked for cheesecake only this time it needed to be pink with a chocolate bottom. Thankfully it turned out pretty good.

For presents, Emma was once again a lucky girl. She got a princess castle with a Snow White princess set to go with it, a barbie kitchen, some fun bags, more markers, crayons, etc., and then some money from Uncle Eric and Aunt Abby, and from Grandma. Wow, what a lucky 4 year old! She was just in heaven all day, and was sad to see it have to end. She is already talking about what presents she wants when she turns 5. What a girl- I love her to bits!!

Sadly some of the pictures turned out blurry, but you still get the idea.

What a fun day! I can't believe how grown up she looks. It's just crazy.

We've been noticing lately how much Becca looks like Emma did as a baby. Definitely family. It's fun.
