Back in September, at least it's better than August, a group of us drove about 2 hours away to explore and hike Turkey Run State Park. Needless to say it was such a fun and beautiful trip!! Turkey Run is a gorge carved out of limestone and sandstone. It has tons of trees, rocks, and rivers to hike through, a cool suspension bridge, fun ladders to climb down, when there is more water, waterfalls to walk through and just tons of beauty all over.
We spent all morning hiking around 4 miles, and I have to say all of the, at least, 18 kids did a phenomenal job! Emma and Jenna did have a tendency to over explore by picking up every cool rock and stick they could find, which frequently put them in the back of the herd. Even my out of shape pregnant self did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself. Of course that is probably thanks to Michael who was willing and able to hold Isaac 85% of the time. We were all certainly ready to eat our sack lunches and head home by mid afternoon. But we couldn't have asked for better company, better weather, or better surroundings.

Looks like fun! I'm impressed that all those kids had fun and didn't get hurt. And way to go on doing it pregnant!
