So when Michael found out that BYU was going to be playing Ole Miss and that it was only about an hour and twenty minutes away, you better believe that he was going to go. Lucky for me we worked it out so that he didn't just go by himself or with a group of guys, but we were able to make it double date with the Presslers. It was super fun. While BYU did have a tailgating party we decided to save ourselves a few bucks and keep from driving down too early we did lunch together here. Emily Pressler was kind enough come over to the house and feed all 3 of the kids lunch while the 4 adults headed over to Corky's for some yummy BBQ. After a quick hour lunch we came home, but Isaac and Lizzie down for quick hour naps and then drove over to the Pressler's house to pick up Liz and Chris and drop off Emma and Isaac, we decided it was just too long and too many kids to leave for Emily to watch, with the addition of our two kids she was home with 7 other kids under the age of 12. You go Emily, you are awesome!!! So we made the drive down, Lizzie was great and slept the whole way, and after driving around Oxford, Mississippi for 20 minutes we found ourselves and awesome parking spot between a bunch of cars and a tree (sadly Liz took a picture of Michael's awesome parking job and I don't have a copy.)
We then made the 15 minute trek to the stadium, found and literally squeezed into our seats among the many other BYU fans and enjoyed the first half. During the second half we found a spot by one of the end zones that was far less crowded and enjoyed the rest of the game there. Luckily, we really did enjoy the second half much better than the first half and not just because we weren't squeezed in but because we some how managed to pull off a 13-12 win in like the last 5 minutes of the game.
We really had an awesome time. It was the first time that Michael and I have been to a BYU game where we were the visitor. It was a different experience. We were really impressed with the Ole Miss fans; they were all friendly and all dressed nice. I guess it is tradition that most women wear summer dresses, sadly not usually very modest, and then men wear Polo's and nice shorts. It was cool to see all of the fans dressed in their team's colors, a tradition I sorely wish Provo BYU fans would pick up. There is nothing quite like seeing the whole stadium in the teams' colors. Anyway, we also really enjoyed it being a "dry" campus, meaning they didn't serve any alcohol, naturally some snuck it in, but for the most part there were no "drunks" around. And then what really made it awesome was how great Lizzie did. I will admit I was really nervous about bringing her, to the point that I wasn't going to go; however, Michael kept pushing it, convincing me it was going to be fine. And I am so glad he did. We really were anticipating her freaking out at some point due to all of the noise, but she just sat on Michael's lap, enjoyed her snacks and didn't complain once. It really was a fun game, one we were grateful to see.... and not to mention, win. :)

| We took this as we were trying to run out of the stadium to beat the crowds, hence the reason for being a little fuzzy. |
